The baby’s skin is usually soft, delicate, tender and smooth but also very susceptible with the circumstances. Then, parents should protect their children from the other things that can make damage to the baby’s skin. Actually, sometimes there is the baby acne or rash that can attack the baby’s skin. But, there are three kinds of rashes that usually the baby has in the few months of his/her life. The first is baby acne; it looks like red bumps or pimples on the cheeks, forehead and temples. The second is seborrhea that also known as seborrheic dermatitis. The red bumps are smaller than baby acne and there are the yellow crusty scales and flakes. The seborrhea is always on the eyebrows, eyelashes, scalp, neck and shoulder. The last is infant eczema that usually looks like red bumps and patches and can affects the cheeks and face.

The cause of the baby acne or rash is very specific; it can be caused by the maternal hormones or any other irritating substances just like the perfumes, lotions or bubble baths. So that, you should be careful in choosing the chemical products that you want to put to your baby’s skin; because the baby’s skin is very sensitive with the environment. Beside, the baby’s skin pore is smaller than the adults that can make clogging in the skin.

Then, to treat the baby acne or rash can be just simple, and you don’t have to worry much about this. If it is because the chemical products such as baby lotions, perfumes or the bubble baths, it’s better for you not to use the products anymore. Actually the rash can be gone by itself eventually, but if it is needed, you can rub the steroid-based cream or moisturizing agents. Then, if it is going worse, you can take the baby to the doctor who is specialized in baby’s skin.
