It cannot be denied that having exercises in gyms for hours may lose weight even for a pound. But there is a more fun way to lose weight than being stuck in a closed place like gyms. Swimming for weight loss is not something strange to hear anymore. Swimming may be an alternative to lose weight in a more fun way. Besides, swimming makes you move all of your body and use your muscles. Those are what will build strength and vitality which are what you need to keep the weight off or lose the weight. Swimming is included into cardio exercise which means that it burns more calories than the other exercises do and good for heart. To make swimming becomes more fun, here are five tips that you can try.
Swimming for Weight Loss
Following are five tips of swimming for weight loss that may help you in pool. First, do not forget to take warming-up actions. It is an important start for every exercise. The purpose is to avoid our muscles to get injured. The warming-up actions can be done by deflecting the hand muscles, the center part of the body, until the feet. Or walking around the pool for several times is a good choice too. Second, swim every 30 minutes to avoid exhaustion. Standard size of swimming pool is 25 meters. Take 5 minutes to swim and a minute to take a break. Do this technique for full 30 minutes. Increase the speed level when swimming and also the duration of taking a break. Third, prepare some food near the pool. When we get tired of swimming, we do not need to go too far away to get some food so the energy for the body will be regained fast. Forth, protect any wound in the body when we swim. If we have wounds, swimming is not a good idea because it can make the wounds get infected. But if we protect our wounds with waterproof wound protector, it can be a solution. Fifth, after swimming we have to take a bath as soon as possible to omit chlorine in our skin. Chlorine may makes our skin becomes dry and easy to get injured.
